Louis Vuitton is recruiting for a Distribution Planning Manager based in our New York office who will be responsible for managing the forecast and inventory of the Shoe category to support the sales in their network of stores.  This will be accomplished through the use of analytical skills and market knowledge to monitor distribution, proactively contribute to meeting sales target, and ensure appropriate availability rate with optimal stock level.
As an experienced Distribution Planner, you will work closely with the store network to ensure there is an open dialogue on product trends, controlling the availability of product, and forecast service rates while also managing the inventory flow for store openings and events.  Other main responsibilities include organizing new product launches, identifying opportunity of product re-balancing within the network, and working with the Demand Planning team for inventory level and deployment strategies.  In addition, you will implement initiatives based on your analyses for target stock adjustments and stock re-balance to maximize sell through.
As an expert in the Supply Chain realm, you will collaborate closely with Merchandising, Logistics, and the Customs Department to solve for distribution challenges and you will be the main point of contact for stores within your network to meet objectives.  Working collaboratively with the other members of the Supply Chain team, you will support your colleagues on special projects that are being executed to improve overall departmental functions.

Desired profile

Experience required : Minimum 2 years
We are eager to speak to professionals with a minimum of two to three years' experience in Supply Chain or Inventory Planning & Analysis who possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field.  The ideal candidates has a proven track record of working in the luxury market, and who thrives working in a fast paced, evolving and best in class organization.
