Job description

The Platform Security Project Manager uses project management experience, operational and technical skills to support internal and external goals of Bluemix Infrastructure division of IBM Cloud. The Project Manager, with limited supervision, will manage security projects for Platform Security Services, Security Operations Center, and Abuse Teams with support of Security Engineering, Incident Response, Continuous Monitoring, Penetration Testing and IP Reputation initiatives. These initiatives include, but are not limited to security related certification requirements and tasks associated to creation and management of scope, schedule, and budget, documentation requirements, reports on findings, and development of action plans for remediation of vulnerability and weakness gaps.

The Project Manager will work with functional leaders and extended IBM teams to drive these projects to successful completion. This will also include supervision of assigned team members and resources and includes creation and presentation of findings to leadership. The Project Manager will participate in planning of department initiatives, annual goal setting, and special projects as assigned.
·  Ensures delivery to Platform Security objectives of Bluemix Infrastructure division in IBM Cloud
·  Lead project execution and delivery, maintaining an overall project vision with supporting project plans
·  Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and schedule in collaboration with management, project sponsors, product owners, architects, project team and other stakeholders
·  Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
·  Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts within the project team
·  Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and critical path
·  Develop and deliver progress reports, issues/ action item logs, proposals, and presentations
·  Provides regular status reporting to management and other stakeholders on project health, progress, issues, and risks
·  Provides proactive change management in project scope to identify and avoid potential crises, and devise contingency plans
·  Identifies process and procedural improvements that will advance Platform Security and reduce risk
·  Develop and advocate best practices and tools for project execution and management
·  Conduct project lessons learned and recommend adjustments for continuous improvement in project execution and delivery
·  Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and security management practices by adhering to required standards and processes

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Minimum three years of Project Management managing complex projects, preferably IT or security related such as security product implementation, network installations, and cloud services deployment
·  High school diploma or GED
·  Proficient in all MS Office products
·  Ability to apply critical thinking to project situations, make judgment calls to establish direction for resolution, oversee the resolution plan, and represent status and impacts to key project stakeholders
·  Experience with Business Process documentation and requirements gathering
·  Exhibit excellent written and oral communications skills
·  Professional project management experience directing resources for a large critical work stream as part of a larger global effort to implement Cloud BU projects.
·  Security team and operational security integration work as project management resource
