IBL - Supply Chain Associate (Auckland)

The IBL Associate will work within the Customer Service and Logistics Team in GSK, New Zealand, learning key fundamentals of supply chain including building an understanding of logistics, manufacturing, forecasting, stock management, customer support and communication to external and internal customers and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have a mentor appointed from within the team, to guide them through the daily logistics activities and projects. This will encompass all Supply Chain activities such as Customer Service, Warehousing and Logistics. Crucial to this role, is the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team and demonstrate your strong interpersonal skills.

Key responsibilities will include:
• Co-ordinate the forecast process with Brand Mangers on a cyclical basis and regional supply chain managers with forecasting support and insight.
• Communicate inventory positions on assigned portfolio and work with the business to put in place mitigation plans (if needed) to ensure continuity of supply.
• Negotiate supply plans with regional supply chain managers.
• Work with Government, to ensure all regulatory permits are maintained.
• Pro-actively work with all business teams to resolve challenges and minimize impact to GSK.
• Responsibility for Invoicing from local suppliers.

What are we looking for in a candidate?

• You must be in your penultimate or final year of a Bachelors Degree in Business/Commerce, Supply Chain or related field
• An interest in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry is favourable
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Customer focus
• High attention to detail, rigor and process
• Excellent project management, in order to manage and prioritise multiple ongoing projects
• Strategic thinking and problem solving skills
