PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Job description

MISSION :

The Product Development Engineer will support the Development Group Leader in managing various projects; within our USA/Canada Cookware Regional Center.

Specific responsibilities include:

· Assure the achievement of objectives (cost, quality and time) in respect to the development process
· Ensure that the product being developed adheres to product specifications and marketing requirements
· Manage and follow through the quotations during the whole development process, in addition to monitoring and initiating operational savings in terms of total cost (price, quality, lead time for new and current business)
· Communicate project updates, schedules and related information with team members based internationally
· Capitalize and document the history & status of each project throughout the development process

Qualifications :

PROFILE:

·  Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
·  3 years minimum experience in product development with project management experience (preferably within consumer goods organization)
·  Knowledge of project management tools (management of planning, budgets, resources, validation and decision-making)
·  Demonstrate strong negotiation and analytical skills
·  Ability to communicate cross-functionally and interact internationally. The position is based in an office-environment and will work closely with our manufacturing sites overseas.
·  Ability to define priorities and manage several projects simultaneously
·  Ability to travel occasionally for work-related assignments
