This position is responsible for process and system controls to ensure integrity and accuracy in SAP master files.  In addition, this position performs research and analysis on master file requests and ensures compliance and changes are made in accordance with business policies and procedures.   They will be responsible for the maintenance of master files on the SAP enterprise system which includes the “cleaning up” of current / legacy files to ensure accuracy.

Controls changes to multiple master files (example: Material Master Records for all material types, Purchase Info Records [PIR] and Source List as well as any of their auxiliary data files) within the Roofing Products business.   Will manage processes to analyze and update (mass or otherwise), master record data to ensure changes are made with accuracy and speed.  Directs change communication internally (sales, logistics and customer service) ensuring compliance with SGC audit guidelines of signing authority.   Performs User Acceptance Testing [UAT] for newly configured plants and various data elements needed in the Material Master file.

The position is to support on-going Logistics initiatives throughout the Roofing Products business with primary focus on:

·  Develop and execute training procedures to the multi-levels in the organization – Ability to travel to manufacturing / warehouse locations providing training class on the SAP System
·  Administration of ERP policies and procedures
·  SAP Super-User for the following models / areas:  Material Master,  Plant Maintenance, warehousing, production/ DRP planning 
·  Freight Rates and security administration
·  Ability to participate in the process of testing system updates and changes to ensure a seamless implementation of changes
·  Participate in implementation testing of changes to the ERP system

Process management in the above areas impact profitability, sales and customer satisfaction.  Failure to maintain these information systems may result in customer dissatisfaction (late deliveries), loss of revenue, errors in financial accounting and reporting (inaccurate billing relationships), etc. 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES –

 

30%                 Analysis, Management and Control                      

·  Analyze change requests
·  With IT support, identify and develop system solutions to automate mass changes and update information. Develop and enhance tools to implement and communicate changes and effective dates to reduce errors.
·  Define and manage Change Process Flow.  Use continuous process improvement tools to ensure accuracy, streamline, and to automate where possible. 
·  Audit and proof information for CertainTeed Roofing Product’s  master files
·  Maintain and control all documentation and system updates regarding Material Master changes
·  Coordinate implementation so that changes or updates occur simultaneous with sales and customer service (order to invoice) to insure that customer invoice reflects accurate information.   TIMING IS CRITICAL
·  Develop and deliver communications regarding updates to sales, customer service, and pricing   
·  Develop and issue reports regarding master file statistics
·  Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures to include approvals and required documentation and recordkeeping.
·  Identify and control data input within the SAP system.
·  Respond to supervisor’s inquiries or problems.  Also help Pricing, Accounts Receivable, Customer Service, and Sales to resolve problems and communicate action needed promptly.
·  New plant / warehouse set-up process
·  Achieve data accuracy 
·  Ability to prioritize, manage day to day activities and use time effectively to work on projects
·  Verify master data entered into the system is correct by comparing the system and source document(s) 
·  Assist in identifying possible streamline capabilities in all areas of master data inputs
·  Assist in establishing and maintaining policies, processes and SOP’s 
·  Ability to develop and maintain complex databases, queries, macros and other data-mining and analytical  tools
·  Provides PC and teleworking support to the staff including training of software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
·  Automate and provide timely and accurate service reports.
·  Demonstrates the ability to decipher database structure and data integrity discrepancies resolving them in a timely and efficient manner.
·  Develop and conduct training on various processes within functional areas.

20%        Plant Maintenance Systems Analysis and Control                      

·  Process multiple sourcing documents for any or all areas of Material Master Data.  Troubleshoot interface problems with SparesFinder to SAP
·  Troubleshoot Material Requirement Planning [MRP] issues for Maintenance Repair & Operating [MRO] parts. 
·  Maintenance Model set-up and data administration
·  MRO and SparesFinders data base administration and governance
·  Overseeing MRO adds to ensure accuracy with current and new parts
·  Work with Spare Finders to maintain accurate and precise records
·  Develop training process for new employees as System Super-user
·  Master Data Steward for plant maintenance data such as work centers, equipment,   functional locations, etc.

 

  30%                Item Master Control

·  Ensure accuracy and integrity of model for each responsible plant.
·  Material Master Maintenance – Maintain all material types in SAP such as Finished Goods, Resale, Raw Material, Semi-Finished, Phantoms, MRO
·  Develop new procedure for SAP system in compliance with Saint-Gobain Internal Control Standards
·  Verify and Audit for data accuracy
·  Collaborate with Marketing, Demand Planning, Logistics, and Sales to manage mass changes to products
·  Insure Item Master accurately correspond to changes ensuring non-duplications of items.
·  Document all changes and maintain files. Assist in maintaining Facility Planning records including MRP and DRP files (including Lot Size, Safety Stock, Order Policy codes and other Planning parameters)

  20%           Continuous Process Improvement

·  Consistently evaluate current practices and recommend new and better ways of managing customer database, maintaining integrity, and decreasing cycle times. 
·  Will lead and/or participate on a cross-functional, process improvement Six Sigma or Workout teams. 
·  Participates in continuous improvement teams, presenting analysis and performance information Identifies process improvements, recommends and implements changes to achieve world class service levels
