Role Summary/Purpose

The GE Digital Thread Services team focuses on providing innovative, high impact digital and mobility solutions to services personnel globally. Through GE business and customer partnerships, the team deploys solutions in the form of digital assets, mobile technologies, and wearable devices. Team members are high-performing and have diverse, domain expertise in the areas of technology, service operations, field services, and GE products.
Essential Responsibilities

The Staff Technical Project Manager will be a part of the GE Services Horizontal team. The team’s overall objective is to enable service automation for GE in areas like Field Service Execution, Service Depot, Installed Products, and analytics. This is done thru new software development in addition to an integration and configuration framework that includes an ecosystem of ServiceMax and other cloud based market solutions and capabilities to GE’s proprietary industrial platform Predix.
The Staff Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading “GE4GE” ServiceMax engagements through program planning and execution of an implementation. S/he works with the Technical Program Management teams to ensure that the necessary skills and resources are effectively applied and delivering to plan. S/he leads across the team to continuously integrate for predictable execution and teamwork ensuring key milestones are met on time and on budget.

Essential Responsibilities:

·  Leads Discovery engagements to identify and validate ServiceMax opportunities across GE

·  Plan and implement projects at various GE sites globally including the activities of staff and contractors

·  Primary GE Digital contact for the duration of each project. May commission, resolve specification issues, handle correspondence, provide periodic updates, ensure GE Business Unit (BU) satisfaction, and negotiate/coordinate with staff as appropriate

·  Proactively provide key GE BU stakeholders with product and services information and project updates

·  Identify opportunities for customers to get the best value out of GE software

·  Translate GE BU needs / requirements into detailed project plans while driving internal execution to meet project targets

·  Manages a Scrum team to ensure timely completion of deliverables – backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily scrum meetings, removing blocks, management of all stakeholders including business engagement

·  Manages cross-functional teams to execute on projects in a very dynamic, fast-paced environment.

·  Works closely with GE service teams and customers to develop solutions quickly using Agile and FastWorks methodologies

·  Identifies new technology opportunities in the forms of wearable technologies, new software capabilities, and mobility

·  Ensures that the product development process abides by all defined cross-disciplined standards, meets the intent and letter of Phased Review Discipline and all compliance and regulatory needs of the applicable markets

·  Leads the cross-disciplined Program Core Team to establish an integrated plan for resources and materials to deliver the new product program per the Product Program team commitment

·  Identifies early and solves complex and ambiguous cross-functional integration problems leading the team to deliver per Program team commitments, including (but not limited to) completing functional goals, execution adjustments/iterations, process confusion, and cross-functional teamwork.

·  Works within Program Management to ensure effective and efficient communication and execution for the duration of the cross-disciplined program team

·  Works with the system, subsystem/platform, supply chain, service, QA, RA, Research project leaders to deliver quality products on time, within budget and with the necessary features/functionality

·  Works with the functional engineering leadership team to grow project leadership skills within the Team

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or a suitable field

·  3+ years experience in project leadership within a manufacturing, development or research environment, including previous leadership of a global and/or virtual team.

·  2+ years of experience in Agile and/or Fastworks
