Poste et missions:
LOCATION, START DATE & DURATION OF VIE CONTRACT
A one-year (12 monhts) VIE contract beginning in NOV 2017. The position will be based in Montréal (Canada). The VIE could be renewed after the first period of 12 months.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITES
You will work for the Supply Chain Department for our America Zone. You are responsible of improving the product availability and inventory management of the US and America’s zone operations by developing constrained short term and long term production plans for the manufacturing facilities and co-packers. This role will support sales and operations planning (S&OP) by providing leadership for continuous improvement of the supply planning process and use of the JDA planning resource. By its nature, this function is transverse. It thus has a high visibility across multiple departments. Your missions will be the following :
- Interface with the leaders in the Demand Planning, Customer Service, Plant Operations and Co-Packer teams to obtain the necessary information for the production planning process.
- Manage and update the relevant manufacturing macro-constraints and data (shelf life duration, new products, etc.) to develop and maintain an enriched 13 week and 18-month rolling production plan.
- Create and optimize weekly and monthly production plans for finished goods to meet sales forecasts, customer orders and targeted inventory levels. Interface with plants schedules to convert the rough-cut weekly plans to finite schedules considering equipment and people resource constraints (capacity Planning).
- Manage the overall inventory for finished goods. Develop improved inventory management processes and targets using JDA. Once implemented, follow-up on inventory exceptions on a daily basis.
- Monitor performance and recommend action plans that ensure that production stability, inventory targets and customer service are achieved.
- Conduct production plan simulations and prepare scenario analysis using JDA. Communicate opportunities, issues, and recommendations for resolution.
- Prepare reports and supply planning metrics for the S&OP process.
- Participate in the annual budgeting process, particularly relating to annual local production plans.
- Provide oversight for distribution improvements and customer sourcing studies.
Profil:
Minimum degree and required :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related field and/or training
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a leadership role in capacity planning, scheduling and inventory management.
- Experience in using JDA Manugistics Fulfillment Planning; a plus
- Experience in using SAP Business Warehouse (BW); a plus
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and fostering teamwork.
Specific skills/competencies required :
- Experience in supply planning perishable products with short shelf-life
- Experience using advanced planning technology for planning and scheduling (JDA, SAP or similar)
- Experience using databases and data mining tools (BW, BEX or similar)
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Proven time management and multiple task management capabilities.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to develop actionable plans.
- Requires excellent oral, written, and communication skills.
- English and French required.
