SUMMARY

The primary function of the Business Development Associate entails researching, identifying, and inputting potential business leads, and initiating contact.  The Business Development Associate will qualify leads and introduce the company to potential customers.  An associate in this position may interact with his or her supervisor several times a week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback.  Most non-routine activities may require a supervisor’s advanced approval.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Business Development Associate is responsible for the following:

·  Make outbound Sales calls to introduce company and initiate sales process.
·  Identify decision makers amongst the targeted leads in order to coordinate and schedule meetings.
·  Maintain and expand the database of prospects.
·  Manage up to date and accurate data in Salesforce.
·  May perform other duties as assigned. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

·  Associate's Degree
·  < 1 year of experience Preferred:

·  Bachelor's Degree
·  Experience with Salesforce

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

·  Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and problem solving.
·  Ability to make outbound calls and represent the company in a professional manner.
·  Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
·  Ability to work independently, multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
·  Excellent time management and organizational skills.
·  Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
·  Ambitious and self-motivated

 WORKING ENVIRONMENT

·  Ability to Travel < 10%  of the time.
·  Normal Office Environment.
·  Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
·  Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
·  Frequently communicates with employees and customers.
