Role Purpose
ARM's Systems & Software Group, develops high performance System IP and by combining these with ARM CPU's, optimal fit-for-purpose Compute Sub-Systems to address various different applications and market segments. Our customers needs for "time to market", and the prohibitive cost of re-spins, strongly reinforces the importance of the quality of verification and validation, and the need for these at various levels of abstraction.

Within the System & Software Group, the System Validation team of ARM, is located at the Design Centre in Bangalore, India. This team is responsible for, stress testing under development ARM IP at the system level, using Baremetal and RIS (Random Instruction Sequence) based validation methodologies.

Role & Responsibilities
As a Verification Engineer in the System Validation team you have the opportunity to have and continually develop specialist system skills, and apply the knowledge both hardware and software that come with these skills, to their validation task. This requires a keen understanding of both architecture (CPU & System), as well as micro architecture details. This is a great opportunity to work on range of latest ARM IPs like CPU, Interconnect, Memory controller, System MMU which are at the top end of technology. Characteristics & Requirements

·  Excellent communication skills with fluent spoken and written English
·  Track record of project execution and delivery, individually and/or in a team
·  Willingness to be flexible and accept new challenges

Qualifications & Experience

·  Good University Degree in ECE or Computer Science. Other Science graduates would be considered if they have relevant work experience
·  3+ years of engineering experience in CPU verification or CPU based SoC validation

Job Requirements

Essential Technical Experience
·  Strong understanding of CPU and/or SoC architecture is a must
·  Good understanding of digital design concepts, experience with RTL design in Verilog, or VHDL is a plus
·  Strong understanding of System level Integration and SoC verification/Validation
·  Good understanding of random verification methodologies
·  Good in logical programming using C/C++/Assembly
·  Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
·  Working knowledge of Industry standard verification tools for simulation and debug
·  Some hands on experience on HW acceleration platforms like Emulation and FPGA
·  Good understanding of verification best practices such as Test Plan development, Testcase development and measurable execution thereof
Desirable Technical Experience
·  Knowledge and use of scripting and scripting languages like Perl/Python/Shell
·  Experience in testbench design and development for IP or SoC.
·  Knowledge of advance verification techniques like Assertions, property checking, Formal
·  Experience of ARM based System Design and/or Validation
·  Familiarity of Unix / Linux working environment
·  Experience in CPU Architecture verification and a desire to grow further in this area
