Role: Business Intelligence Analyst/Data Engineer
Location: Dublin
Duration: 11 months

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join our global IT client.

The Advertiser Acquisitions dataset houses complex logic to capture, determine eligibility, and attribute revenue to the various sales channels.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the GAD developments by performing the following tasks:
- Create SQL scripts that will produce the GAD dataset.
- Create #plx Workflows scheduled jobs that will run those scripts and update the data sets.
- Create Dashboards that will expose GAD metrics to the users or for internal processes.
- Integrate those developments with a Version Control infrastructure. Maintain code in source code management system.
- Create tests and validate quality of output. Document the process.
- Create, document and release scheduled pipeline jobs.
- Liaise with business partners to clarify requirements and iterate on design.
- Liaise with engineers to resolve technical problems.
- Provide manager with a weekly written update on progress achieved.

Deliverables:
- Create and test reporting data sets
- ETL scripts written in SQL
- Scheduled pipeline modules.
- Version control infrastructure.
- Full record of testing history and results.
- Log of bugs and feature requests filed.
- Progress report, updated on a weekly basis.

Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or other technical qualification.
- Relevant experience in data engineering and data analysis
- Experience with databases, including SQL coding across standard commercial databases (e.g. Oracle, Teradata, MySQL etc.).
- Experience in developing ETL (Extract Transform Load) scripts in high data volume data warehousing environments.
- Distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills combined with strong business acumen; demonstrated ability to multi-task and apply initiative and creativity on challenging projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of commercial and emerging reporting tools and technologies (e.g. Tableau, QlikView, Microstrategy, Business Objects, Cognos, D3).
- Experience with Web-scale databases, Hadoop, or NoSQL technologies.
- Experience in related underlying technologies such as JavaScript and App Engine (or other cloud platforms).
- Knowledge and experience of financial concepts and processes.
