The Training and Engagement Facilitator at Sofitel Brisbane Central provides a range of learning and development programs and services, both operational and administrative, to assist the Talent and Culture team in maintaining a strong and capable workforce and to drive a positive culture in the hotel.

Reporting to the Director of Talent and Culture and working within a small human resources department that looks after the hotel’s 300+ ambassadors, you will be part of a high-performing team that cherishes and nurtures its people and encourages fresh ideas and positive change.

This role works closely with hotel employees at all levels to plan, create and deliver and report on compliance and development training, with a key focus on building brand awareness, maintaining quality and enabling skills development.  

Focused on delivering timely, accurate and engaging content in line with the Sofitel and Accor brand standards, the successful candidate will be a reliable team player with integrity and grit, who displays a consistently positive attitude and a guest-centric approach.

Key responsibilities include:

·  Create, facilitate and coordinate face to face and online training sessions
·  Be an engaging facilitator, planning and delivering training consistently across all areas of the hotel
·  Be a source of knowledge for training and engagement, providing regular and timely advice to leaders and employees
·  Work with managers to develop their knowledge and training capability
·  Build and maintain relationships with external training providers and suppliers
·  Manage and administrate cloud-based systems geared toward engagement, including Brownie Points (recognition), Peakon (employee surveys) and INES (training and talent management)
·  Oversee the administration of apprentices, trainees, interns and work placements
·  Plan and organise hotel engagement activities and events in collaboration with hotel Committees, department managers and employees
·  Promote the health, safety, wellbeing and inclusion of employees through engagement activities
·  Perform administrative duties to achieve an organised and compliant training function
·  Regularly report on training progress and outcomes
·  Assist with the general day to day operations in the Talent and Culture department.

Qualifications

You will excel in this role if you have:

·  Ability to use Microsoft Suite and cloud-based programs to create professional training material
·  Tech skills to enable content creation and sharing through video and socials
·  Analytical skills for reporting and data interpretation
·  Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
·  A desire to grow your career in Talent and Culture
·  The ability to motivate, engage and coach others
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·  An efficient, flexible and proactive work style
·  Immaculate personal presentation
·  Experience within the hotel or hospitality industry preferred.
