Preliminary Technical Feasibility Study on a new concept of Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) receiver.
The system would consist on Linear Fresnel Receivers (LFR) with refractory Thermal Energy Storage (TES).
I acquired basic ANSYS APDL concepts to perform different static thermal simulations. Further flow dynamics simulations were conducted by members of the team on ANSYS CFX.
Knowledge on turbines, steam generators, heat exchange, radiation and fluid dynamics was necessary in order to pre-size the system and estimate its potential yield and efficiency.
