Interface Planner
07-2017 - NowProject / Product managementAfter four years at my first job function for new products at Texas Instruments, I rotated to interface planner (Supply Chain Planner). Based on the solid knowledge gained and hand-on training, I quickly dive myself into the new position which focusing on RTM/RTP products. I am also in charge of RMR (Return Material Rework) coordinator to support returned units from customer and potential quality issue units.
- Working on multiple devices simultaneously with different deadline and customers
- Inventory control to make sure that we have sufficient WIP and stock at warehouse to support customer demand
- Closely reviewing on tooling inventory and demand forecast in order to prepare additional equipment prior to demand ramping
- Communicating proactively with worldwide customers for estimated ship date and output plan
- Negotiating with customers for arrangement plan based on current capacity to minimise the impact of changeover frequency
- Prioritising responsible products based on their deadline
- Timely escalation to management for support in order to prevent further production line down issue of customers
- Fully utilising current systems to check WIP progress, inventory stock, BOM supply status to improve working efficiency
- Setting up data base in order to release RMR jobs to the production line
- Providing RMR projection for the following month to maximise output under limited resource
SWR Planner
05-2013 - 06-2017 Project / Product managementTexas Instruments is one of the top semiconductor companies. SWR (Special Request Work) planner focuses on new products & latest technologies which are not yet launched to the market. After three years of hard work, I became team leader to advise, guide and share my previous experience with junior planners.
- Collaborating (mainly in English) with product manager, business units, process engineer and MFG team to align our goal and process and finalise priority for capacity utilisation
- Monitoring WIP progress to ensure they are on track to meet the RTM timeline
- Since most devices are not yet qualified with their BOM and process flow. It requires problem solving skills on abnormal and unexpected issues
- Paying great attention to detail to make sure that the requests from customers are achievable by current system and capacity
- Knowledge of logistics to meet custom's requirements on incoming shipments
- Cycle time analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement as new technologies and complex operation process come to the market continuously which generally increase cycle time
- Co-working with IT on automation solution to reduce manual work and improve productivity by enhancing daily report format, content and defining logics
- Sharing experiences accumulated from previous years with junior planners to help them on hand-on learning
- Providing advice and brainstorming on problem solving skills with colleagues
