Production Engineering Manager
02-2014 - NowEnergy / Materials / Mechanics Managing multiple, complex and interrelated new projects for plastic injection molding of automotive components:
- Leading the development of new plastic injection tooling projects planning them with detailed task lists and estimating timelines to meet project deadlines;
- Validating new molds providing feedbacks for corrective actions to tooling engineering, molding and material suppliers;
- Determining the appropriate specifications and parameters to use in the plastic injection process to meet customer requirements and high efficiency;
Taking continuous process improvement measures from initial product design through production ramp of new products;
- Leading corrective and preventive actions using Six Sigma methodology to address quality issues;
- Taking the leading role in suggesting or adopting ideas for improving productivity and quality of part manufacturing, molding and tooling techniques; - Managing the maintenance and the procurement of new injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and automations to ensure an high technology standard for the production department;
- Responsible for the amorphous metals (BMG) research and development.
