06-2017 - 07-2017 Audiovisual productionDuring my short time at Kukri Middle East, I was able to successfully design a promotional E-Flyer, 3 logos for sports teams, a team t-shirt as well doing some logistics; creating a new system from scratch to keep track of as well as sorting & locating stock in a new warehouse. The layout of the warehouse, tracking system and picking system was successfully approved by the client (Kukri ME) and has now been implemented.

09-2015 - 08-2016 Design/UX/UIAs part of my year in industry (placement year) I worked for Foster Refrigerator, Europe's leading commercial refrigeration manufacturer. As a Design Engineer my responsibilities included: • Assist with product design using SolidWorks • Product design in a low to medium volume manufacturing • Design of metal fabrications, plastic moulding and product assembly • Produce manufacturing data including drawings, BOM’s, manufacturing instructions etc. • Continuous improvement and quality performance of existing products • Ensure design solutions optimise process capability and capacity • Identification, assessment and implementation of new technology or methodologies • Process support to identity and implement corrective action DFMA • Support DFM/DFA activities involving relevant departments and suppliers • Contribute both project engineering and electro/mechanical design, taking products from initial client specifications through to manufacturing drawings including bill of materials • Liaise with Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing at all design stages • Detailed checking/analysis of data / Product test information

Design School Chair

09-2014 - 09-2015 Project / Product managementAfter being elected the Design School Chair, I realised that there was no real committee in place which represented the Design School at Loughborough University. I set up a committee consisting of 11 positions (Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Careers, Social, Stash, RAG & Action, Media 1, Media 2, Sports Female and Sports Male) and advertised these amongst the school. We soon had a full committee and I was able to delegate and lead the committee organising inter-school & departmental sports fixtures, Charity fund raisers, socials, promote the design school through social networks, launch a line of design school clothing, advertise appropriate job vacancies and manage & raise money for the school itself. The committee structure is still in place to this date.

07-2014 - 09-2014 HR / TrainingStarted off handling the onboarding process for new joiners in the international out-stations team for 2 weeks and then being promoted to helping with the initial phases of the recruitment process, shortlisting, doing telephone screenings and also doing first stage interviews.

Design Intern

06-2014 - 07-2014 Design/UX/UIAs a summer intern I shadowed the work being carried out by the various departments, getting exposure and an insight of the processes that make a successful contracting company in the UAE. Working closely with the design team, more specifically producing CAD models for the interior design staff as well as getting further training in AutoCAD, Photoshop and 3D Max.
