Quality Assurance Supervisor

11-2011 - 11-2016 Hold the position of Quality Assurance Supervisor and perform the task of Lead QHSE in charge of welding, QAQC procedure implementation and documentation and production for all aspects of manufacturing scopes of work. I also assist in routine functions to enhance HSE performance. Act as the focal contact point for all project related welding engineering and quality activities including project kick-off and progress meetings. Regularly act as the focal contact point for all welding engineering and development of structural, piping and other pressure equipment as well as lead role in all quality control activities, in-process inspection and action on applicable technical queries. Prior to the issuance of Purchase Orders, Work Instructions and Project Drawings these will be reviewed by me to identify all QA/QC requirements before passing instructions to shop floor for actions whilst ensuring all clarifications are made and acceptable where necessary. Also carry out goods-in and shop floor inspection and subsequent product releases to clients. As a routine or on demand, I am regularly involved with the development, review and issue of project quality plans, QP and Inspection & Test Plans, ITPs for clients approval, and monitor all Hold/Witness and review points, development of Welding Procedure Specifications/ Testing (WPS) and Welders Qualifications Testing (WQT); Materials selection, qualification and management of all welding procedure testing and records to industry and international codes and standards. Carry out goods receipt inspections when required and in accordance with materials certificates, delivery notes and purchase orders. I also manage the calibration and measuring of all equipment. As team leader, I am responsible for the supervision of all NDE activities on various projects, reviewing and certifying reports as appropriate, coating operations and applications such as Heat Shrink Sleeves, 2LPP, FBE applications, general painting on different offshore specifications and holiday detection tests, Salt tests and management of documentation and supervision of hydrotest after welding operations. I regularly liaise and interface with 3rd Party Inspectors and verification authorities for all welding certifications and endorsements. Currently I am responsible for a seven man team for QA/QC and Inspection. I regularly lead and oversee the implementation of internal and external audits as per the annual audit programme, and participate in supplier appraisal scheme. Track all non-conformities and ensuring timely closures of NCR as well as lead role in the implementation and maintenance of Company IMS to ISO 9001 Standard and report to HSEQ Manager on HSEQ performances.
