Duties Included:
Primary Network- (Substation Projects- 132/33/11 KV)
• Power generation basics.
• Substation maintenance.
• Substation expansion projects- Circuit breaker installation, Instrument Transformer installation.
• Removal and replacement of out of order Substation equipment.
• Feeder installation, wiring and panel dressing.
• Installing dedicated feeders for private consumers and the associated components: Metering Units, Instrument Transformers etc.
• Power system protection configuration.
• Carrying out investigations on repeat faults and implementing solutions to avoid further reoccurrences.
• Carrying out least-cost, economic and financial analysis on projects.
• Participate in Health & Safety training programs.
Secondary Network- (11KV/400V)
• Assisted in the implementation of GIS (Geographic Information System) through data capturing and collection (pole-to-pole and door-to-door GPS Survey).
• Assisted in carrying out feasibility studies and site surveys for new projects.
• Compiling fault statistics and writing reports for the Reliability Indices (SAIDI, SAIFI, and CAIDI) and making recommendations on faults.
Technical Drawing Office
• Design and Reticulation of networks in new settlements (provinces).
• Compiling the respective Bill of Quantities for new settlements and calculating voltage drops.
