07-2017 - NowDesign / Civil engineering / Industrial engineeringUnder Internship Program of EMShip, I have been selected to perform the project titled as "Non-Linear Numerical Analysis of a Simply Supported Composite Tank Submitted to Lateral High Velocity Impact Loading." (Method: Analytical Formulation, MATLAB, LS-DYNA, MSC Patran). My goal was to perform explicit calculation with composite material for high velocity Impact analysis and prepare an appropriate guideline for the future research work . The main challenges and achievements are, 1. selecting a suitable existing material model and perform a parametric study of the influential physical and non-physical parameters to analyze their capabilities. 2. Perform simulation to model damage degradation, debonding and delamination of the structure. 3. Identify important parameters for contact algorithm, Element formulation and compare the results with experiment results.
