Research engineer

08-2016 - NowDesign / Civil engineering / Industrial engineeringWorking on a turbocharger project with a team. The project includes CFD simulation using STAR CCM+ and also experiments carried out in a PIV laboratory. Besides these, I am an assistant professor since 2013 for the disciplinary course Thermodynamics of internal combustion engines for which I am helping the professor in preparing tests as well as marking them and I am also taking my part in the practical courses. I am helping in the everyday life of the Internal Combustion Engines' department. I got to learn what responsibilities does one have when coordinating a team and a project.

Summer practice

05-2015 - 08-2015 Design / Civil engineering / Industrial engineeringI was part of a team who was doing daily inspections on trucks on the road. I was using an OBD reader to read out fault codes from the trucks' computer and my task was to find out if there is a correlation between fault codes and e.g. cheating with the tachograph. Later this project became my thesis. Although I was part of a team, I had to work alone on the OBD part. I had to gather as much information as it was possible in order to complete the task.

07-2011 - 02-2012 Design / Civil engineering / Industrial engineeringMy assessment started as a summer practice which later became an internship. I was working at the department of quality management and purchasing. My duties included daily reports, inspecting the production lines, solving problems if there were any, taking materials for a test, keeping in touch with the contractor. This was my first experience to work in teams, I learnt discipline and I improved my communication skills as well.

This team is organizing activities for the students, keeping in touch with them and help them in their everyday life if needed. After being a mentor for 3 years, I was elected as the president of the local section.
