I was able to build my ability to communicate effectively in a team, share responsibilities and also to identify the places where I can make the most impact for the team. I also gained confidence in working within a team and under supervision. I am very adept at listening and following directions, even under pressure. English is my first language but I am fluent in Wolof, the language of Gambia, where I was born. I have had the opportunity to travel, which has given me an insight into other cultures. This confidence adds to my people skills and my ability to comfortably talk with new people.
