Implementing two Paired Oracle Audit Vault Servers (Active/Passive) using Oracle Database Standby Technology, the first Audit vault server (primary) is an Oracle virtual machine from server box 1 at the primary site and the second audit vault server is an Oracle virtual machine from server box 2 at the primary site as well, both servers are paired together.
Oracle Database Firewall is implemented in proxy mode, this requires changing applications connection string to use the load balancer IP (if used) or the DB Firewall proxy IP instead of connecting directly to the database.
Two Oracle Database Firewalls are configured as standalone but with identical configuration and this requires an intelligent load balancer that performs DB service health check like F5-BIG IP.
Two NIC cards are configured per each DB Firewall As there is only one subnet and only one zone at both primary and DR sites, one NIC used to configure the management IP and the second one will be used to configure the proxy IP of the DB Firewall.
