Readiness Delivery Operations Manager

02-2015 - 12-2015 IT development I managed the delivery operations for multiple training programs across varying business segments in the Asia Time Zone. I helped transform strategic readiness plans into training deliveries that were executed in a timely manner, with high quality and within budget constraints.  I worked with various global stakeholders at Microsoft and multiple global vendor teams including external training companies to coordinate and execute the targeted training deliveries.  Managing the program budget efficiently to meet quarterly budget accountability and delivery plan targets was one of my primary responsibilities as Delivery Operations PM.  I worked closely with the logistics team to ensure delivery logistics are in place for each class delivery. I supervised the work they are responsible for including Vendor Statement of Works, Purchase Orders, setting up the class appropriately in the Learning Management System etc.  I also gathered and analyzed information via various readiness reports and other key performance measures to provide business decision support or business insights.  Coordinating activities between several internal and external stakeholders has helped build stronger relationship management and cross group collaboration skills. Working with teams spread across multiple geographies continues to enhance my cross cultural understanding and strengthen my ability to work in a virtual set-up.

Learning & Development Program Manager

03-2010 - 12-2014 IT development In this role, I managed the overall training activities for Microsoft’s consumer and business customer contact centers spread across the EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) region.  Scoping out training needs with various internal stakeholders such as Product Release Managers and Service Delivery Leads and coordinating with Training Managers at the contact centers to execute these training requirements was a critical part of my role.  I was also actively involved in the design, development and delivery of customer support and product training (through Train-the-Trainer sessions) including new hire training programs.  Through this ~5year period, I have been part of major product launches (including Windows 8, 10, Office 365 & other Cloud Solutions), customer support tool migrations, and contact center migrations/vendor consolidation projects.  Creating training content for a large suite of products & services that cater to end users, business users and partners has not only helped enhance my domain knowledge in IT but has also strengthened my understanding of training needs for varying customer segments.

INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER

08-2009 - 02-2010 Design/UX/UI At 24x7 Learning (a talent lifecycle management company), I was part of the team that provided content development services for external clients. I was responsible for developing e-learning and ILT (Instructor-led) courseware for clients from varying industries. While at 24x7, I also contributed to the internal content development for off-the-shelf learning products.  Developing courseware for clients from a wide range of industries including IT, Financial Services, HealthCare, Political Youth Organizations, Telecommunications, and Universities & Schools gave me a huge platform to creatively explore and enhance my instructional design skills. Working extensively on eLearning development gave me the opportunity to learn new e-learning development tools.

Instructional Designer

09-2008 - 01-2009  I was part of the Learning Services team that designed and developed courseware for external clients.  I had my first stint in Instructional Design at Accenture and it is where I had the opportunity to learn Instructional Design from the ground-up. I underwent specialized training in instructional design methodologies, training needs analysis, and specifics of web-based and instructor-led training material development.

QUALITY COACH, TRAINER, AND RESEARCH ANALYST

12-2004 - 12-2007 Accounting / Management control I joined as a Research Analyst. In this role, I was involved in researching and writing about high-profile investment industry players (including CEOs, CIOs, Portfolio Managers, and Traders) and financial organizations that played a significant role in the investment management industry. As a Research Analyst, I also interviewed and talked one-on-one with some brilliant, investment geniuses.  In less than a year, I took on training responsibilities and was involved in designing, deploying and supervising domain-centric and soft skills training. I soon moved into the ranks of a Quality Control Associate and I had a span of control of 8 to 10 Research Analysts and I was responsible for the quality of the work they delivered.  Working in a dual position as a Quality Coach and Trainer helped me not only review and assess my team’s performance but also address knowledge gaps through relevant refresher training.
