Experiences

Logistical Support Executive

06-2016 - 11-2016 Project / Product managementIn my role I was responsible for managing the day to day relations and production of one our external manufacturing sites in Poland (Sonoco). I had full autonomy over what was produced and when, as well as deciding where the product was shipped in order to meet customer demands, this meant liaising with various parties in order to ensure the manufacturing site had the materials necessary to produce what was required and the trucks available to ship to the various locations. This role gave me the experience of working day to day with people from other countries and accommodating and adapting to the cultural differences of the people I was working with. It has also given me the experience of working for one of the largest and most respected multinational corporations in the world and the handling the responsibility that entails. During my time with P&G the prestige section of the business was taken over by Coty, this has given me the experience of a large international business takeover and taught me the importance of being flexible and adaptable to both small and large scale changes. I left Procter and Gamble after my 6 month placement had finished.

Operations Support Executive

09-2013 - 09-2014 SalesAs an operations support exec I had involvement in all areas of the business (technical, logistical and commercial), I was responsible for the quality and service levels through the supply chain, reporting to the Commercial Director. This role emphasised the importance of attention to detail, and managing relations with both suppliers and Tesco. This was a challenging job that required me to gain supplier confidence quickly understanding the technical demands of the industry. My time at Cresco helped me develop a wide range of business skills as well as giving me a valuable overview and insight into how a successful business functions. Main lesson – managing relationships is an essential business skill. I left Cresco to attend Hallam University.

Customer Service Representative

06-2013 - 09-2013 Accounting / Management controlAs a CSR I was working in a call centre helping customers from all around the world administer their cards, also dealing with complaints. This job helped improve my verbal skills as well as improving my telephone manner; this has given me the confidence to communicate effectively with people from all over the world. Working in finance I was often dealing with very sensitive information and meant that I had to understand and adhere to many strict financial regulations and laws, the consequences of breaking these would mean instant suspension and potentially even prosecution. This taught me to take accountability of my work and take extreme care with such delicate information. I left Access to join Cresco

Leader

Scyl (Sheffield Christian Youth League)
09-2015 - 05-2016

During my second year of university I helped run SCYL which is a free 5 aside football league for youths that has been running for over 5 years run by my church. The league has over 100 children and teenagers playing every week and brings together people from all backgrounds across Sheffield. In my role with SCYL I helped with the running of the league, this meant booking pitches organising referees for all the games putting on tea and coffees for the parents and also updating all the social media and website.

Make every future a success.
