Experiences

Brand Ambassador for France

08-2016 - NowMarketingAs the Brand Ambassador in France, I organise, coordinate and host The Glenlivet whisky tastings and events for the country, focusing in Paris. I am responsible for managing the client portfolio, visiting clients and building relationships. As Brand Ambassador, I breach the gap between the Luxury Sales and Marketing Teams for the brand. Daily tasks range from assisting the development and translation of marketing materials, to prospection for new clients and closing purchase orders. As the first point of contact for both clients and my colleagues, it is important for me to be able to engage easily with people and represent the brand with dynamism and authenticity.

Brand Ambassador

09-2015 - 07-2016 Marketing- Gym representative relied upon to promote the gym facilities, exercise classes and sports teams that the university offers. Typical jobs include working at open days; talking to both prospective and current students; participating in classes; volunteering at sports events and coordinating visits by fellow sports teams. - Very active role which allows me to promote something I am passionate about, working with others to develop my interpersonal and teamwork skills. - Have worked for/alongside teams such as the Australian and South African rugby teams and events including the Premier Squash League and know the importance of professionalism when working with sports personalities in order to provide the best service possible.

Bar Staff

02-2014 - 07-2016 Hotels - RestaurantsStaff responsibilities include: cleaning, stocking and maintaining the bar; taking orders, handling money, using the tills and serving food/drinks; interacting with fellow staff, security and customers. This is a very enjoyable and rewarding role as I get to serve, and work alongside, my fellow students at The University of Birmingham whilst making a living in order to further my studies. I get to use knowledge I've gained through both experience and my Level 2 RSPH in Food Safety in Catering and also to draw from my range of social and front-of-house skills to show how I value the customers and improve their overall experience. Working behind a bar also requires quick thinking and the ability not only to work as a moving part within a team, but to have a sense of independence in making quick decisions in stressful circumstances. I particularly enjoy this job and think that this is an integral part of being a good member of staff, too.
