Summary

I graduated with BSc in Electrical Engineering from Aberdeen University in 2008. Since then I have worked in various roles across different industries. I have worked in waste management; asbestos removal and management; oil and gas; water and waste water networks and, most recently, defense. These roles have allowed me to develop technical skills, CAD capabilities, across many packages including AutoCAD, bid and estimating skills and fluency with all standard MS office packages. I have recently reinstated my membership to the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET).

Engineering Technician

11-2016 - 11-2017 Personal servicesMy responsibilities include designing and building test boxes, rigs and harnesses. Prototyping and one off electrical build and wiring projects. Through this role I have made significant improvements to my soldering and looming abilities. I have had responsibility for implementing ‘5S’ in the engineering lab and have been commended by colleagues and managers for the improvement.

Electrical Estimator

06-2014 - 10-2014 SalesWorking on bids for electrical works as part of Rigfit’s work scope. I had responsibility for outline design, selecting materials and obtaining a selection of quotations for electrical works and feeding into bid letters, clarifications, assumptions and exclusions. In this role I achieved consistent fast turnaround, where required and worked on estimates up to a value of approximately £10 million.
