Customer Assistant

12-2015 - 02-2016 SalesCustomer Assistant responsible for providing advice and assistance to customers for Christmas gifts and recommending promotions during the busiest period of the year in the flagship Boots store in Nottingham. Responsibilities included serving customers at the till, receiving, sorting and restocking deliveries of Christmas stock and providing support to the managerial team as needed. Large amount of customer interaction through selling gift-sets and providing any assistance they may require. In between working with customers I was required to ensure the appearance of the store is of the highest standard.

Student Ambassador

09-2015 - NowHotels - RestaurantsPart of the welcome team to enthusiastically introduce and welcome new or prospective students to the university. Tasked with promoting the Business School on open days and induction days, escorting and directing students around the campuses and registration of new students. Large amounts of interaction with new students providing course details and imparting useful knowledge or important information I had learned from my first year.

07-2012 - 08-2012 SalesTwo spells at the store, one work experience and was then invited back to work for the summer after a successful placement [November 2011 – December 2011]. I was a shop floor and stock room worker with an often demanding clientele in a high pressure and fast moving environment particularly during the Christmas rush. Provided friendly and professional consumer advice to make sales on a wide range of electronic goods. Confidently gave clear and concise explanations and demonstrations of all goods with only some prior experience with the products to a diverse audience. Tasked with using the computer system to deal with sales and sales reports, as well arranging long term payment plans. Worked towards sales targets of £500-1000 per day. Maintaining displays, re-stocking shelves and effectively organising the shop floor. Second spell included further shop floor responsibility and an insight into the purchasing department as well as its online retail shop.
