Customer Service Advisor

03-2016 - 04-2016 MarketingAdvising clients to update their system and updating the company database

Awaiting Hip Operation

05-2015 - NowI am currently recovering from a hip replacement revision operation since 6th January. I have been off sick since last May, due to my left hip replacement, that I had in July 1988, finally wore away.

Senior Business Support Officer

03-2015 - 05-2015 Started here with one other person as a temporary contract for a month that got extended with Reed Global Agency within the Special Education Needs for Children. Here I started off sending letters out to parents, NHS/Schools to arrange meeting for the child transitions then I took on all the filing, reorganising the whole cabinets as this was too full, therefore, created a whole new filing system, obtained two extra cabinets and labelling them. This made it much easier for the team enabling them to spend less time filing, I also answered the telephone taking messages, when the team was out on development training and emailing them the contact/information requests. I had finished all the filing and everything was completely up to date but due to ill health, I had to leave here as it was too painful to work, theefore the doctor signed me off work for a month

Temporary Trainee Mortgage Processor

01-2015 - 03-2015 SalesStarted here with a group of 7 of us as a temporary contract with Reeds Global Agency where I got training for one month on mortgages as they were finding the right candidates for permanent roles, I was not lucky enough to stay here but I did get good knowledge of mortgages and also processing of the different type of mortgage claims which I enjoyed, creating a step by step guide.

Customer Service Advisor

12-2014 - 12-2014 Design / Civil engineering / Industrial engineeringFollowing my redundancy, I had no break and went straight into this job where I had just done two weeks training there, listened to some calls but as this was more sales then advising, I decided to leave as I got another job through Reeds Agency that seemed better for me.

Customer Service Call Handler

08-2008 - 11-2014 SalesAnswering calls and inputting customers requests via the company database

Hr Administrative Assistant

04-2001 - 10-2007 Started in Chesterfield for 3 months with the Health & Safety team then moved to Wakefield for a month inputting accident forms as these were integrated to Sheffield for 18 months then transferred down to Wolverhampton. I then moved into pond street, Sheffield with the Absence Team moving onto Stage Warnings then Substitution/Pay allowances and finishing with the Probity Team. I then took voluntary redundancy to concentrate on my studies at Hallam uni for a while hoping to get temporary work later.

Purchase Ledger Clerk

11-2000 - 03-2001 Temporary position as all purchase invoices had to be computerised and filed due to being bankrupt, also undertaking some sales ledger duties

Scheduler

03-1998 - 11-2000 Schedulling computer engineers to their calls using Leo cognito system via computer and sending parts required for customer requests

Cashier/administrator

12-1997 - 03-1998 This job I applied as wasn't advertising yet but Esporta was a new health club in Sheffield, they invited me to their open day at the Royal Victoria hotel and I applied for the cash office. I started before the other departments as this involved setting up floats and tills ready for use when it opened and also getting money from the bank then it was preparing floats every day and balancing at the end of each shift for each department then inputting onto the lotus spreadsheet package. I enjoyed it but found this quite mundane and felt I was going nowhere with this job plus the money wasn't very good here as I only left my last two jobs because one was just part-time and the other was temporary but this was permanent and I thought it would give me more experience which it did but it wasn't enough

Multi-Functional Clerk - Temporary

07-1997 - 12-1997 Collating job repair tickets from each departments incoming trays and inputting them onto the database system, filing these into employee works numbers. This was working to a strict weekly deadline and all job tickets had to be inputted within a cut off time each week which was always managed while I was there. Also answering telephone enquiries regarding tenants repairs. I really enjoyed working with everybody here and the job as it was challenging working to a deadline but we always did it.

Part Time Cash Office Assistant

06-1997 - 12-1997 Emptying the pod system after each cashiers shifts, banking each of the tills takings from these pods onto the lundy computer system and responding directly to change request when a pod came in, sending straight back to them. Also balancing back to the till read printout with your computer printout that is given by the supervisors at the end of the day then banking the money into the safe vaults

Syha - Temporary Rent/admin Clerk

12-1996 - 06-1997 Receiving rents and processing their relevant accounts onto the computer database and recording them in the manual ledgers and liaising with housing benefit agencies/DSS regarding the tenants whereabouts. Also reception duties cover at lunch times and various other times and also answered tenants telephone calls for emergencies or general repairs that needed allocating to each department. I really enjoyed working here and was sad this came to an end but they were no permanent jobs which they only wanted someone for a month, therefore I got a good six months experience here as well

Trainee Travel Clerk

04-1996 - 08-1996 Working in a travel shop, dealing with customer requests for holiday and flight bookings, also telephone bookings using different travel companies on the database system. Also issuing national express tickets, sorting out new brochures and banking twice a week. Not really took to this as it was so quiet, I couldn't get to learn enough as I couldn't practice properly as the customers were so random in what they wanted.

Temporary Sales Ledger Clerk

02-1996 - 04-1996 Credit control, updating creditors files on word database, spreadsheet lotus package and also daily bank runs

Accounts/wages Clerk

08-1994 - 01-1996 This involved opening and sorting the post, vat checks, inputting the purchase invoices onto the database, printing off monthly payment runs and getting authorised signatures, running off sales invoices and sending out, allocating/reconciling cheques when they come in via the database as all computerised, looking after the petty cash, dealing with telephone enquiries from suppliers and occasional reception duties, daily bank runs. Also checking and inputting the clock cards via sage wages accounting system, filing and liaising with other departments when required. This was a really good job and I gained good experience in an accounts office environment for a large company but sadly they were starting to merge their sister company of Doncaster Bramahs with this one and they couldn't keep all the staff, there were only four of us in the accounts plus the accountant, two senior colleagues who had been there from the start were ready for retiring and Lucie (who I still keep in touch with now as she was a lovely girl who had just come from college and had been here on work experience for secretarial/reception work (her dad worked here for years). This really only left me surplus as I had18 months experience now but wasn't enough as the accounts in Doncaster had more so from there end, it made more sense to transfer it all to to them. I was then made redundant. I was really sad about this but at least I had my accounts experience now
