Law Society
09-2017 - 07-2018

I was part of a Law Society group at my college where in small groups we wrote letters to Boris Johnson the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs to fight for Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe rights. She was arrested in Tehran airport in Iran and jailed for 16 plus years with no apparent reason. The responsibilities that I had when part of the law society was to debate why I thought that Nazanin should be allowed human rights and be able to return home to england. This involved writing letters, doing research and campaigning. The campaigning involved fundraising for Nazanins husband to be able to speak to the Iranian government.
