We are currently looking for a Stress Engineer. The Stress Engineer is an experienced engineer with knowledge of structural requirements, analysis techniques, testing methods, and documentation procedures and applies this knowledge for the structural evaluation of aircraft interior products to ensure compliance to applicable requirements.

Job duties:

· Basic knowledge in regulatory FAA requirements, customer technical specifications and company internal specifications
· Understand and able to apply the guideline documented in the corporate Stress Engineering Manual
· Generate various Finite Element Models (FEM) using Femap/Nastran
· Verify the structural compliance via FEM, hand calculation and other analysis tools.
· Prepare structural substantiation documents including stress analysis, static test plans, static test results, interface loads analysis, comparative analysis, and weight summary to comply with FAA and customer requirement.

· Consistently communicate with internal customers to present structural feedback, make recommendations and provide status of deliverables.
· Participate in technical design review meetings at each milestone during the development phase of Aircraft interior commodities
· Approve drawings and ECNs (engineering change notices) for structural airworthiness at CCB (Configuration Control Board) meetings.
· Understand the mechanics of materials, especially composite and Aluminum properties and their design values
· Be proficient with static test equipment, fixtures and procedures.
· Release approved reports and the related data to Document Control
· Perform static test and create static test report according to customer specification

Qualifications:

Education: BS or higher in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.

Experience: 3 - 5 Years

Computer Skills: Finite element model software, Office XP, AutoCAD, Catia V5, SmarTeam

Other Skills: Detailed oriented and accurate, previous experience evaluating structural analysis of composite materials mechanical properties is strongly desirable.
