The Process Engineer is responsible for determining the most cost-effective ways to create products. Develop strategies to increase productivity by maximizing line efficiency and managing resources to meet company targets.

Job Duties:

· Analyzing and planning work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, manufacturing methods, and cost analysis systems to promote process and value stream improvements.
· Conferring with Planning, Quality, and Design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods that meet specifications.
· Providing feedback to Engineering to improve product design for ease of manufacturing, optimization of material and labor costs, and weight reduction.
· Performing time studies on operations to define work content and evaluate headcount requirements on existing and new production lines.
· Designing and deploying tooling to aid in production processes.
· Establishing new manufacturing lines or providing suggestions for existing production lines.
· Providing training and assistance to Production Personnel for all facets related to the manufacturing of the product.
· Participating in and leading product/process improvement projects.
· Drafting and designing layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to achieve maximum efficiency.
· Analyzing data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
· Developing line layout to assemble parts or products to promote efficient utilization.
· Regulating and altering workflow schedules according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to expedite production operations.
· Discussing with management, Engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.

Qualifications:

E ducation: Bachelor’s degree required; B.S. in Industrial, Aeronautical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.

Experience: 3 - 6+ years.

Computer Skills: Computer literate including Excel, Word. CAD experience (CATIA V5 preferred). Proficient in GD&T, as well as PPAP, APQP, FMEA and process capability.

Other Skills: Demonstrable LEAN Manufacturing training and experience. Knowledge of pull systems standardized work and strong problem-solving skills supporting the Shop Floor. Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills. Project and general management experience

Experience with airworthiness regulations, and LEAN tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM) “5S.”
