OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:

Under indirect supervision, coordinates and leads programming team in systems analysis and design techniques to complex computer systems with multiple users, or to complex one-user systems, to lead and produce innovative solutions for a variety of complex problems. Gathers information from users and programmers, defines work problems, and plans projects to enable analysts and programmers to develop required systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

· Schedules, research, design, develop and test of operating systems-level software and network distribution software for aerospace and business computing applications
· Guide and train programming analyst as required
· Provides and checks the design and code new software with programming team and/or modify existing software to add new features
· Verifies, test and debug existing software with programmer analyst and instruct to correct defects
· Insures the Integration of existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
· Guide, train and develop programming team and power users on simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
· Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
· Review and implement algorithms with programming team to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
· Guide and assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components; write or review software and system documentation
· Provides guidance on the development of software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users and application specialist
· Analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas
· Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
· Design or implement database or data repository interfaces/queries
· Performs other related duties as required

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field of study and 3 years of related work experience. Experience must include 2 years of experience working with Infor XA Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, Manufacturing, Accounting and Production Information Control Systems (MAPICS) and modules to include PowerLink, Intersite Logistics, ThruPut and Materials Resource Planning (MRP). Experience may be gained concurrently.
