Industrial Engineering Supervisor

Job description

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

· Supervise Lean / Industrial Engineers for the New Jersey facility.
· Monitor, prioritize, and report Lean / Industrial Engineering workload with workflow and tracking tools.
· Research and development for building support projects.
· Assist with creation and maintenance of relevant policies in the Manufacturing Engineering manual to share knowledge and facilitate cross training.
· Identify opportunities and make recommendations for make vs buy decisions.
· Oversee the monitoring and maintenance of labor standards and reporting
· Supervise process and equipment design through common methods, such as tooling, instructions and equipment.
· Oversee prototype and test procedure design for new manufacturing processes and improvements.
· Coordinate support for plant layout improvements, and support Zodiac requirements for sustaining Lean efforts in the New Jersey Facility.
· Support for resolution of engineered safety solutions and Industrial Engineering QRQC actions in the plant.
· Participate in or provide leadership for kaizen events, cross-functional teams, and special projects.
· Leadership of Foreign Object Damage, Business Continuity, Operational Risk, and Enterprise Risk and other corporate compliance efforts.
· Oversight of creation and maintenance of work instructions task breakdowns and Value Stream Maps when needed,
· Coordination and preparation of Manufacturing Performance Reviews and Manufacturing Floor Space Capacity Reviews.
· Presentation of IE supervisor efforts in Manufacturing Engineering Reviews.
· Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

· BSIE, BSME, or Process Engineering degree required plus 5 to 6 years manufacturing or process engineering experience.
· Ability to understand and interpret engineering documents.
· Experience Microsoft Project and with CAD software. Preferably Auto Cad
· Must have strong computer skills, excellent communication, and business writing skills.
