Occupational Summary:

Assists the Change Management Administrator by researching and gathering data related to the engineering change request. This will include the lead time and cost of tooling changes, new parts and/or rework of parts. Must have an understanding of engineering, manufacturing bill of materials (BOM), tooling, planning and supply chain. Use the Engineering and Production Schedules to set effectivity for change incorporation. Assist in the cost benefit analysis of the requested change, and be able to communicate with all levels of the organization as required.

Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions):

· Coordinates Changes Request (after originator does value trade analysis) with Project Engineer (Project Engineer rep), Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Program Manager, Tooling and Supply Chain.
· Set’s serialization of Engineering Change Request based on CCB analysis of inventory levels, cost, and lead-time for planning, tooling, and sourcing.
· Assists in analysis for usage of parts affected and cause/effect of proposed changes.
· Provides process metrics to support operating system and to drive Continuous Improvement.
· Communicates Engineering Change Requests to all departments affected. This includes but not limited to: CCB containment and re-work team, Manufacturing Planning, Supply Chain, PC&L and Production.
· Good organizational, communication, and collaboration skills to work in the entire value stream
· Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements :

Knowledge and Skills:

· Must be team orientated.
· Must be able to read engineering blue prints, and parts lists.
· Must have a basic understanding of tooling design and tooling types.
· Must have some technical knowledge of production processes, sequence and flow, process capability, material characteristics, and sourcing strategy.
· Must have knowledge of high school level math, basic trigonometry, algebra and geometry.
· Must have knowledge of computer software for inventory management, production, and data management.
· Leadership skills for team projects.
· Must have working knowledge of computer usage.

Education and Experience:

· Associate’s degree in Applied Science required or three years related equivalent experience required. Also, one to three years of manufacturing experience preferred.
· Lean, or Six Sigma certification preferred.
