Job Summary:

Assembles aircraft interior structures and/or parts, such as bins, galleys, lavatories, sidewalls, cargo liners, doors, etc. and builds sub-assemblies for the completion of aircraft interior structures, and/or parts using engineering drawings, company and customer specifications.

Due to the differences in complexity of the job, and the materials being used, there are extensions associated with the Assembler 2 Job Description and Title. The list of extensions includes, but is not limited to:

· Seats
· Fortified Doors
· Sidewalls
· Tanker Seats
· Cargo
· 9
· Baggage Liners
· Ceiling Panels
· Exit Doors

Summary of Duties (may or may not include the following):

· Adheres to company and customer specifications, work instructions, engineering prints and work orders.
· Documents the materials used in the process to maintain traceability.
· Builds sub assemblies of aircraft components, such as:
· Forming of aluminum trim extrusions, fiberglass laminates and other materials for completion of the sub assemblies, parts or structures.
· Fills and fairs areas as necessary per the established specification or customer limits.
· Installs inserts and applies edging material.
· Assembles sub components for the structures/units.
· Assembles aircraft structures and units, such as:
· Bonds and attaches the sub assemblies to the structure/unit.
· Attaches the hardware, plumbing and some electrical components.
· Assembles independently buying off own work with a QTP Stamp
· Safely handles various regulated materials used in the process.
· General Notes:
· Must carefully handle raw material and manufactured parts to ensure the integrity and quality is not compromised by handling.
· All employees have an affirmative duty to protect and maintain the confidentiality of C&D products.
· As business conditions change it is necessary that all employees productively react and handle other essential tasks as assigned now or in the future.
· Tasks may vary slightly based on products produced at division.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Must be at least 18 years of age
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· 2-3 years minimum experience in Assembly or equivalent. Aerospace industry preferred
· Ability to operate and comprehend data using Windows Operating System®, and MPR systems.
· Able to read and follow engineering blue prints at a level necessary for successful job

Non-Entry Level

Physical Demands and Working Environment:

· Standing, sitting and walking throughout the workday
· Work will be done in a production shop environment which may include exposure to noise, dust, fumes and carbon fiber
· Possible skin and inhaled contact with various sealants, paints, adhesives or other chemicals.
· Proper PPE is defined and required for specific work area.
· Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the company and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.
