Production Support Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Production Engineer for the Benefit Accounts team, you will utilize your strong database skills to work on problem identification and resolution efforts for highly complex production support issues, including testing, debugging and resolving errors. 


The Role  

·  Work on ongoing problem determination efforts of complex production issues and identify ways to resolve the issues
·  Ensure smooth daily operations of business applications and contributes to meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements
·  Suggest improvements for tasks and processes, and suggest paths and validations to explore when researching website and/or application issues, and escalating urgent issues 
·  Works closely with business users in gathering requirements and implementing system changes to fulfill business needs; follows up with users to discuss priorities of pending assignments  
·  Writes complex queries to extract data from multiple systems, applications and schemas  
·  Performs on-call support in rotation with the production support team, creates incident documentation/recovery updates, follows up with the affected business unit head, and ensures execution of the escalation procedures 
·  Research, analyze, and support software applications and systems using Oracle, PL/SQL, Jasper and related technologies. Use PL/SQL Developer, JIRA, Windows, UNIX as well as various other software development tools, languages and technologies 
·  Analysis of software components like Oracle stored procedures, packages and triggers. Analyze and support user interfaces, generate reports and perform validations and write PL/SQL scripts 
·  Perform other duties as assigned

The Requirements

·  Advanced Application troubleshooting skills  
·  Knowledge of the related HealthCare Claims domain is a plus 
·  Proficient and hands on experience in SQL,PL-SQL  
·  1-3 years’ experience with relational databases 
·  Knowledge of PL/SQL to read existing complex code to pinpoint problems
·  Proficiency in tools like Oracle PL/SQL Developer, SQL Plus preferred 
·  Strong written and clear verbal communication capabilities needed  
·  Strong interpersonal skills needed  
·  Excellent analytical and problem solving skills at multiple product levels
