JOB DESCRIPTION

Financial reporting processes for life insurers are complex and challenging to operate. This role is assist with designing, developing and operating highly automated processes using a portfolio of specialist financial reporting software. The role will be across a number of different projects with lots of opportunity for developing process engineering skills, coding knowledge and experience of insurtech solutions.

The Role 

As a process analyst / engineer in our team, you will work with a team of actuaries on supporting the development, improvement and automation of financial reporting processes. We perform actuarial work for a wide range of insurance companies which gives access to a diverse and interesting working environment in a growing and capable team.

The core tasks can include:

·  Analysing data and financial reporting processes to identify opportunities for improvement and automation
·  Support the team in designing new processes, which will involve mapping them out, understanding the components and engaging with stakeholders on the requirements. 
·  Helping to build and test new process and workflows in bespoke software solutions to automate processes 
·  Maintaining the workflows and becoming proficient in the operation of the tools/software 

As you gain more experience the role has significant potential to expand in terms of responsibilities.

A key aspect of the work will be using software, such as modelling software and workflow tools. You will receive training on these tools and be expected to demonstrate keenness to acquire new skills and apply them to your work. No prior experience is required.

The Requirements
·  Coding experience preferred (any language) and more importantly a strong desire to become highly proficient in specialist insurance software. Full training will be provided. 
·  General analytical and problem solving skills essential
·  Good teamwork and communication skills essential
·  Good time management and self-organisation skills
·  Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
·  Knowledge of Life Insurance Industry beneficial.
·  Manchester office location.
