JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Implementation Business Analyst you will work within the Data Services department and are responsible for data implementation of new carriers, and data re-implementation of existing carriers. You must be able to rapidly learn about new domains and translate this knowledge into formalized documentation and models that encompass both the information involved as well as the business and technical processes surrounding it. You will be responsible for determining how best to integrate new information into the company’s information ecosystem, and how to reconcile third-party data with internal information. You must be able to understand and reason about direct and indirect dependencies and interactions across complex, interwoven business domains and information systems, and fully analyze the implications of proposed actions and changes.

The Role:

• Implementation and re-implementation of carrier data feeds for enrollment and premiums.
• Attends carrier meetings relevant to the components they have responsibility for, to establish carrier relationship and ensure complete understanding.
• Responsible for developing requirements documentation.
• Responsible for system configuration based on carrier requirements.
• Responsible for creating test plans, and testing system changes and enhancements to ensure completeness and accuracy. Regression testing as necessary based on the nature of the system change/enhancement.
• Work closely with developer to ensure project requirements/requests for changes are understood and within standards.
• Maintain and update all requirements documents, ensuring adherence to standards.
• Promote strategic enterprise goals related to data quality, integrity, consistency, and accuracy.
• Coordinate internal resources assignments with leadership team and define priorities based on resources availability and Stakeholders expectations.
• Conduct presentations, and effectively communicate product functionality targeted to the needs of the carrier.
• Identify and resolve functional issues, consult, and provide optimal solutions for Stakeholders needs.
• Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project.
• Responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of projects for the purpose of accomplishing project goals and objectives in the best possible way, and within the pre-defined general conditions.

The Requirements:

• Solid interpersonal skills and external facing service orientation.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, but not required.
• At least 3 years of experience in a related position.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including basic technical or logical writing experience.
• Knowledge of information modeling techniques; relational modeling
• 1-3 years of experience in modern database management systems, preferably Microsoft SQL Server 2014 and above.
• Familiarity with ETL systems.
• 1-3 years of experience in project management in the technical field.
• 1-3 year of experience in technical writing, specifically around gathering technical requirements for ETL and data system changes.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Medicare and the health insurance industry preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Self-Starting – takes independent action and goes beyond what the job or situation requires.
• Ability to be in a multi-faceted role throughout a project lifecycle; be flexible and be able to switch “hats” seamlessly.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to identify a Master Project and divide in Sub Projects, defining the scope and resources needed for each subproject.
