Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for a portfolio of clients and prospects with accountability for retention of clients and new business development. Will manage and develop client and Willis Towers Watson relationships and grow portfolio within the business unit and will be responsible for converting prospects. 

The Role

·  Placing risks in Lloyd’s and International markets.
·  Excellence in broking through trust, credibility and strong market relationships
·  Seeking best terms and conditions for clients paramount.
·  Client account administration with the goal to retain and develop a profitable terrorism portfolio of accounts, including day to day care of clients’ programme in a timely and accurate manner.
·  Documentation production 
·  General advice and support to clients by email telephone and face to face meetings.
·  Understand the clients’ business and risk management needs and look for solutions to deliver those needs through the provision of ongoing service
·  Understand, apply and where necessary explain the BU policies and procedures
·  Draw on expertise within specialist technical teams within the BU and across the Group for clients
·  Liaise with clients and markets to build strong relationships
·  Determine appropriate solutions, structure, price and placement strategies that meet the clients’ needs and deliver profitable business for a range of clients 
·  Grow existing portfolio by identifying new, and/or existing opportunities
·  Actively identify opportunities to work with colleagues across the business to capitalise on account penetration and cross selling opportunities
·  Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant products and services offered by Willis 
·  Ensure transparency of agency and other commitments made to carriers and clients
·  Deliver optimisation of revenue from new and existing clients through the use of the full range of appropriate placement channels and markets for the specific client segment of the business

The Requirements

·  Relevant industry experience desirable but not essential 
·  Confident and articulate
·  Strong analytical and numeracy skills 
·  Strong work ethic with a ‘can do’ attitude and ability to work as part of a team
·  Preparation of proposals and presentations using marketing resources, practice groups and other producers
·  Good working knowledge of Market Reform Contracts for Insurance and Reinsurance contracts
·  Attention to detail and time management 
·  Able to maintain face-to-face and telephone contact with clients and Underwriters
·  Have a demonstrable track record of Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
·  Experience in innovative solutions, Problem solving and decision making skills essential
·  Excellent communication (written, oral & presentation) skills & interpersonal skills essential 
·  Must be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment where lateral thinking, initiative, self-motivation and decision-making skills are crucial
·  Proven track record of delivering high levels of client service
·  Skilled at building effective relationships, at all levels, with clients, prospects, associates, insurers and external specialists
·  Ability to represent the practice and Willis Towers Watson with integrity and credibility
·  Experience of working with and adhering to processes and systems to support client service delivery
·  Interested in pursuing Insurance qualifications as part of ongoing development- Chartered Insurance Institute
