Fashion Design Intern

Job description

Wears London are a young business that started off with just a simple website and then became a small London based shop.

Our aim is simple. To promote and sell designs from independent designers, brands and fashion graduates.

Recently we've found it is becoming harder to source good quality clothing which is locally designed as many budding startups are being hindered by high manufacturing costs and time constraints due to the amount of time it takes to get from design to production and sale.

We are therefore looking at the options of an own brand. One that is designed by local designers and graduates but where we can manage the manufacturing and sales process.

We are therefore looking for individuals that would be interested in having an initial conversation and exchanging ideas. The aim is to find one or two people that are interested in partnering with us and helping with the initial designs.

We already have some ideas and so an interest in sustainability, ethical material options and 'slow fashion' that can be worn and worn again in multiple ways rather than the current fast fashion trend.

Desired profile

Some experience or qualifications in fashion design. (Clothing and bag)

Above all else, you will be eager to get your designs out there and care about the movement towards ethical and sustainable manufacturing and have that in mind when designing.
