Who are we?
The VMM Simulation Models team is a crucial part of the Vehicle Motion Management (VMM) initiative, focusing on the development and maintenance of advanced simulation models. Our team provides a common platform for closed-loop verification, supporting various functions such as brake systems, vehicle dynamics, and performance prediction. We work closely with other teams, including SIL and HIL, to ensure that our simulation models are fully configurable and capable of supporting a wide range of truck variants and product classes. By leveraging state-of-the-art simulation techniques, we aim to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of vehicle control system testing and validation.
About the role:
We are seeking a proactive and self-driven Experienced Simulation Models Engineer to join our small, dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for further developing dSPACE's ASM (Automotive Simulation Models) to support cross-functional teams in both developing and verifying their products. This role requires someone who is comfortable leading their own tasks and finding innovative solutions to complex problems.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency in simulation model development and enhancement, enabling accurate and efficient system analysis. A solid understanding of vehicle dynamics and control systems is essential for contributing to advanced engineering solutions. The ability to work effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional team is crucial, fostering innovation and smooth project execution. Strong leadership and self-management skills are also key, ensuring both initiative and accountability. Additionally, a commitment to continuous learning and improvement reflects a dedication to staying current with industry advancements and refining professional capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and enhance dSPACE's ASM to support various product development and verification activities.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the simulation models meet the needs of different projects.

Lead individual tasks and proactively identify and solve problems with no obvious solutions.
·
Work in an agile environment, adapting to changing project requirements and priorities.
·
Apply knowledge of vehicle dynamics and control systems to develop accurate and reliable simulation models.
·
Focus on areas such as brake functions, traction, lateral motion, and more.
Qualifications:
·
Proven experience in developing and working with simulation models, particularly dSPACE's ASM.

Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and control systems.
·
Ability to lead tasks independently and proactively solve complex problems.
·
Experience working in an agile team environment.
·
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
·
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
