Master Thesis - Adaptive Control System for Variable Inertia System
Eskilstuna, SWEDEN
Job description
Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions for the future? If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.
Introduction
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented student to undertake an exciting thesis project focused on developing an adaptive control system for a variable inertia system. This project offers a unique opportunity to work on a real-world application where the inertia of the system varies significantly.
Project Description
The aim of this project is to design and implement an adaptive control algorithm that can effectively regulate a system with varying inertia. Examples of such systems could include vehicles, lifting arms, or similar mechanisms that operate with varying loads. The desired outcome is to achieve consistent response time of the system, regardless of the varying inertia.
Research Objective
·
Conduct a thorough literature review on adaptive control algorithms and their application to variable inertia systems.
·
Design and develop an adaptive control algorithm tailored to the specific system requirements.
·
Implement the algorithm on a suitable platform or simulation environment.
·
Conduct extensive testing and evaluation of the adaptive control system's performance.
·
Document the findings, results, and recommendations in a comprehensive thesis report.
Requirements
·
You are currently enrolled as a student in a relevant engineering or control systems program.
·
Strong background in control theory and system dynamics.
·
Familiarity with adaptive control algorithms and their implementation.
·
Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or similar.
·
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
·
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Benefits
·
Gain hands-on experience in developing adaptive control systems for real-world applications.
·
Work closely with experienced professionals in the field of control systems.
·
Opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and development.
·
Enhance your knowledge and skills in control theory and system dynamics.
·
Competitive compensation package.
