Position Description

Overview
Would you like to be part of the workshop team at Volvo Truck and Bus in Carlisle? We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and motivated Labourer.

Working hours

39 hours per week, overtime may be available.

08.00 to 16.30 and 15.30 finish one day per week.

Role description

You will take pride in keeping the service department, workshop facilities and yard areas clean and tidy to the standards required. You will also collect and deliver vehicles for customers as required (HGV Class 1/LGV C & E licence essential).
Responsibilities
Report cleaning material requirements to workshop supervisor.Control the waste product area.Carry out driving duties as instructed by the workshop supervisor, to include collection and delivery of vehicles (less time would be spent on the driving aspect of the job). Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs to workshop and equipment.Treat all customers and their property in a caring manner, with integrity, politeness and providing an excellent level of service. Help with ensuring service vans are kept in a clean and tidy condition and to check road worthiness on a daily basis, and report damages. General handyman duties.
Key requirements for the role:
HGV Class 1/ LGV C & E licence.
Experience of working around machinery in a workshop environment
Knowledge / experience of planning own workload
