What you will do
Creative Content Internship, NRV Communications Spring 2025
Position Description:
This intern role provides students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment and to support/promote the graduate's career goals through contact with professionals in their field of study. The intern experience enables students to participate in professional activities for Volvo Group by working on important and innovative projects. The internship allows students to integrate knowledge and skills in a manner that is mutually beneficial to the student and Volvo Group.
Responsibilities / Main Tasks / Targets:
· Supporting plant objectives in creation of articles and video – with validation of information through interaction with employees and Communications Team.
· Build on campaigns with creative writing, videography and photography to support journey to engage and create sense of Volvo Family
· Collaborate with Communications team, business teams and plant personal to accent/inspire positive Volvo cultural for better business results.
· Create and optimize engaging content by assisting, developing and creating media content
· Utilize MicroSoft bundles: Indesign, production software, basic knowledge of systems including PCs, photography, video and plasmas, printing and production of signs and banners.
Skills and Responsibilities:
· Excellent communication skills, including writing, proofreading skills, and speaking.
· Ability to utilize photography, videography and to produce video for inhouse and social media.
· Ability to tailor communication style based on the platform and audience
· Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments
· Excellent interpersonal skills with high professionalism
· Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision
· Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Working knowledge of professional Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube accounts, including advertising opportunities
· Basic knowledge of Photoshop and/or Canva preferred, but not required
Minimum Education Requirements:
Applicants must be pursuing a business, marketing, or communication at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the intern program. Minimum GPA of 2.75.
Spring interns may work up to 30 hours per week

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $16.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
