JOB TITLE: COMMERCIAL PARALEGAL
LOCATION: BASINGSTOKE
FULL / PART TIME: FULL TIME / PERMANENT
As Commercial Paralegal you will support the Head of Legal and Commercial in risk management, compliance and corporate functions, being the first point of contact for legal enquiries.
Your primary responsibility will be Contracts and Commercial agreements, so you will have experience of advising on and negotiating contractual terms, as well as drafting contracts, including NDAs, Statement of Works, Work Orders, Framework Agreements and Purchasing Terms. As primary owner of the contract database, you will also proof read all commercial agreements with Suppliers, Customers and Sub-Contractors and manage the signatory process.
Experience of Corporate Law is not necessary, however you will be exposed to corporate legal matter though assisting the Company Secretary with corporate matters and maintaining corporate records.

Qualifications
Good standard of general education at least A Level standard or higher.
Sound grasp of contract law.
Legal background with relevant qualifications (e.g., LL.B, ILEX, LPC) is desirable
Experience
Understanding of various contractual models (e.g., distribution chains, sub-contracting, etc.).
Experience in commercial contract law.
Familiarity of or previous involvement in the ICT/Technology sector would be advantegeous.
Skills & Abilities
Experience in drafting and reviewing contracts (preferably as part of an in-house legal team or in a junior commercial contracts role).
First class communication skills, both written and verbal, with a demonstrable ability to explain complex matters in a straight-forward and succinct manner.
Able to draft and amend terms and conditions
Excellent administrative and organisational skills, including exceptional skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Personal Qualities
High degree of ethics and personal integrity.
Good team player.
Highly motivated self-starter.
Good relationship builder.
Commercially pragmatic.
Strong attention to detail.
Capacity and willingness to learn.
Other
Prepared to travel to other locations across the UK as required. Full driving licence preferred.
