Brief Project Description - The Project covers:
The Design and Construction of:
6.4 km of elevated structure and 2.5 km of at-grade tracks,
4 new stations, with associated furnishment, 3 new parking lots,
5 Tractions substations and relay houses,
2-track rails and systems for the full operability of the new metro extension,
The rehabilitation of local streets and landscaping within the project areas,
Gross Estimate of Design & Build Contract: $ 2.9 billion USD.
The WALSH VINCI TRANSIT PARTNER is made of:
· Design-Build Joint Venture: Walsh Group (60%) and VINCI Construction Grands Projets (40%) with EXP and SYSTRA as Main Designer JV
· Duties and Responsibilities:
Within the Construction Engineering department, the Cad Draftsman/woman specific areas of responsibility are the following :
- Prepare 2D Drawings on AutoCad and 3d models in Revit : construction sequences, site installation drawings, RC detailed drawings for temporary structures, steel working platforms, formworks, shoring, scaffolding.
- Perform excavation drawings and extract cut/fill quantities.
- Perform quantity take-offs, preparation of Bill Of Quantities.
- Control drawings of proprietary formwork systems received from external supplier and adapt or modify to suit site conditions.
- Adhere to project quality plan and procedures and provide document controller with the necessary information for upload on the Document Management System.
- Maintain a shared library of blocks and external references with other team members.
- Regular interaction with other team members from other departments (construction team, surveyors, designers) to understand the requirements and make appropriate CAD actions.
- Provide the document controller with necessary information for the drawings register and ensure latest revisions of his drawings are available through the Electronic Document Management System
This position is open in VIE contract and local contract.
Key Requirements:
o Degree in civil engineering
o Strong experience with AutoCad and Revit softwares. Excellent proficiency in 2d drawings, 3d modelling is a plus
o Knowledge of Autocad civil 3d and Sketchup is a plus.
o Strong knowledge of formwork and scaffolding systems.
o Good understanding of construction methodologies and temporary works design, experience in structural construction works, in particular bridges
o Previous experience in a Contractor technical team on a large infrastructure projects
o Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others is essential.
o Broad generalized knowledge of personnel safety, process safety, and environmental principles / regulations.
o Fluent in English with professional proficiency.
o Valid Driver's License.
