Mission Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Intern/trainee within our SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) department.  Working with the Head of SHEQ for Vinci Energies Uk & RoI.  This role will be supporting our 3 brands of Axians, Actemium and Omexom and as they all operate within different industries it is a role which offers a lot of exposure for the right candidate.

Internship Tasks

Environment and sustainability is the main focus area, with some task related to Safety, Wellbeing and Quality.

• Build relationships with the Business Units – understand what they do and how we can best support them in their environmental ambition.
• Appreciate our autonomous business model and work within it.
• Learn our environmental reporting system and support the business units in the reporting and interpretation of their environmental data
• Guide and advise the business units with regard to environment and sustainability scope1, 2 and 3.
• Support with addressing Scope 3
• Help to role out any initiatives
• Support the business units with green offers
• Drive sustainability forward within the business
• Build on your understanding of science based targets, ESOS, Product lifecycle, ESG to help educate the Business Units.

Line Manager

Jasmin Moroney is our Head of SHEQ, she is a friendly, fair and fun personality.  You would be reporting directly to her.  We are a fun and dynamic team at the head office and it is important that the successful candidate is part of this. 

Start date

If successful, the ideal candidate will be available for immediate start. 

Salary

This role will be paid in line with the National Minimum Wage regulations. 

 Duration

This will be a 6 month role with the potential to be employed permanently.

Desired profile

Person Specification

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and spoken English
• Strong writing, presentation, and communications skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint)
• Previous work experience in a corporate  environment is advantageous but not essential
• A passion for the Environment.
