Job Description

GENERAL FUNCTION 

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Warehouse Assistant is responsible for ensuring the overall supply chain activities on asset and warehouse management. The Warehouse assistant must be proactive in delivering the necessary tasks as required.

TASKS

General

·  Maintain & update asset tracking.
·  Ensure items stored in the warehouse as per supply chain policy & procedures.
·  Update stock records in Latis software for every transaction.
·  Ensuring the quantity and quality of materials during delivery and validate with the requestor
·  Follow up the maintenance of equipment in the warehouse.

Management

·  Ensuring all activities are conducted timely
·  Ensure all proper warehouse documentation is in order and secure.
·  Ensure all materials in the warehouse are placed in a clean and neat manner.
·  Ensure materials are categorised correctly and for ease of accessibility and first in first out (FIFO) basis.
·  Ensure optimum utilization of storage space.

Safety

·  Ensuring safety standard are adhered as per OHS policy & programs
·  Good housekeeping

 

Qualifications

Education

·  Diploma in Logistics & Operations Management or Higher Nitec in International Logistic 

Others (License/Certificates)

·  WSQ Operate Forklift Certificate

Additional Information

EXPERIENCE EXPECTED

·  Min 2 years
·  Knowledge in supply chain
·  Knowledge of computer software – Microsoft Office / Google Suites & others

COMPETENCIES EXPECTED

Technical 

·  Ability to converse in English and knowledge of local language is advantage.
·  Ability to carry heavy goods
