Seureca is looking for four Rural electrification Project Engineers in their Business Unit in Togo.
The objective of the project is to prepare investments for the electrification of 300 rural localities in Togo. This electrification will be based on decentralized mini-PV or hybrid solar solutions supplying energy to a mini-grid in each village. In order to plan these investments, for each locality a feasibility study must be carried out as well as collection of social, environmental and economic data. This data will then be processed and compiled into a rural electrification Call for Proposals to launch the tendering process in order to recruit entities willing to invest for the rural electrification of Togo.
Main responsibilities :
Participating in the elaboration of the data collection and data processing methodology
Receiving training from the experts and team leader for data collection and processing
Visiting approximately 60 rural localities in Togo to collect data necessary to elaborate rural electrification feasibility studies. Data will include cartographic statements, renewable energy sources evaluation, infrastructure inventory, environmental and social data etc. The PANGEO will be paired up with a local socioeconomic expert for this phase
Processing data to produce, for each locality, a suggestion of a mini-grid and small power plant (PV or hybrid), an environmental impact study and an energy demand projection. This will include sizing the mini-grid and solar production equipment.
Compiling all the data to produce a Request for Proposals file.
