Job Title: Technical Operational & Maintenance Planner

Location: Sheffield

Salary: £28,000 depending on experience + Excellent Veolia Benefits Package

We are looking for an experienced Technical Operational & Maintenance Planner to play the key role in running a successful operation of the biomass energy facility. If you are a technical minded individual with previous experience in a similar position, recognised Engineering qualifications and general awareness of Health & Safety then we want to hear from you!

What you'll do,

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of technical, operational and maintenance planning tasks to enable safe, efficient and reliable operation of a newly built 7MWe ORC Turbine Unit, two biomass boilers and all the auxiliary and ancillary Plant used to support the burning of waste wood fuel and production of power & heat. You will be able to demonstrate a wide experience in working in a large boiler plant, electricity generators with flue gas treatment equipment or have worked in similar environments such as heavy manufacturing.

Ideally, you will be self-motivated with a hands-on approach to work and a can do attitude, working closely with site management, operation & maintenance teams to ensure that the facility to meet the generation and availability targets safely, efficiently and in an environmentally sensitive manner.

Day to day activities will include,

Preparation of technical proposal/ defects including full costing.

·
Equipment life cycle planning & costing.

·
Maintaining financial recording systems for purchasing and invoicing.

·
Helping site management to prepare various technical, environmental & customer reports.

·
Administration of permit to work documentations, procedural & risk assessment documentations, site consumables (ordering, stock levels, etc)

·
Planned maintenance scheduling using CMMS.

·
Assisting site team leader to coordinate supporting staff external to the facility to ensure that they are notified of works requirements in a timely manner and that their work is completed on time including process removal from site

·
Ensuring reasons for waiving, rescheduling or deferring maintenance activities are valid and appropriately authorised.

·
Assisting site team leader to coordinate safety critical, statutory & mandatory work plans.

What you'll need,

·
Able to demonstrate an appreciation of the tools, resources and time required for each task including cost, in addition to the potential risks, so a technical background and experience of working on a plant site is highly desirable.

·
Sound understanding of process flow

·
Detailed knowledge of plant and maintenance systems and their functionality, especially computer based.

·
Knowledge of wood qualities and grades would be advantageous.

·
IT literate with good numeracy skills, including the ability to interpret basic spreadsheets.

·
Good knowledge of Incineration and Power Generation or similar industry would be advantageous

·
Capable of carrying out inspections, audits, risk assessments.

·
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with colleagues, suppliers.

·
Able to cope with numerous issues simultaneously and capable of prioritising tasks accordingly. Have good interpersonal, team working, decision-making and communication skills. Be resilient under pressure and be able to converse confidently with staff at all levels.

·
Experience of working with SAP would be an advantage.
