Where you’ll work

Our ERF’s utilise world class technology to safely transform residual waste into energy for the National Grid. Our facility in Shropshire is designed to process 90,000 tonnes of waste every year which is not suitable for recycling or composting. The facility produces around 8MW of energy for the National Grid suitable for powering, on average, 10,000 homes.

What you’ll do

To provide technical administrative support to the Plant Manager for the ERF by ensuring all administration is completed in a timely fashion and provide ad hoc administrative support for the Contract Manager and supervisors.

As Technical Administrator you will develop and run the general ERF administration requirements for the business to run effectively including organising diaries, document management and handling enquiries. You will coordinate the implementation of the Business Management System in preparation for external audits 9001, 14001 and 18001, manage the general site consumables purchasing and work with the maintenance team in administering SAP Plant Maintenance system.

As Technical Administrator you will input all health and safety and environmental reporting into the RIVO Safeguard system, manage the general site procurement and assist the Plant Manager in developing the systems to achieve Veolia Best Practice.

Qualifications :

Experience you will need

To enable you to carry out this role you must be an experienced Technical Administrator with relevant industry experience in heavy engineering or power plant operations and hold a tertiary qualification relevant to technical administration. You should have strong IT skills, be an effective communicator with the ability to multi task whilst working under minimum supervision. You should be able to produce clear and concise reports and have a flexible and creative approach to problem solving.

A working knowledge of a CMMS preferably SAP would be desirable.
